Privacy Policy
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
1. Who we are
Week18 is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. For privacy questions contact [CONTACT EMAIL].
2. What we collect
- Account data: email, username, name, timezone, password hash.
- Product data: the systems you build, bets you track, and your preferences.
- Subscription billing data: Stripe processes your card — we never see your card number. We retain transaction metadata (amount, status, timestamp) tied to your account.
- Operational telemetry: IP, device class, request logs — for debugging, abuse detection, and compliance.
3. Why we collect it
- To deliver the features you signed up for and (for Week18 Pro) process your subscription.
- To send transactional email you'd expect — welcome, trial-ending reminders, receipts, and (unless you opt out) a weekly digest.
- To verify you are of legal age and to detect fraud and policy violations.
4. Who we share it with
- Stripe — subscription processing. stripe.com/privacy
- Microsoft Azure — hosting and telemetry.
- SendGrid — transactional email.
- Third-party sports-data providers — scores, schedules, and lines (we send them no personal data).
We do not sell personal information and we do not share data with advertising networks.
5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
- Access / export your data, correct it from account settings, or delete your account (financial records may be retained per tax law).
- Email [CONTACT EMAIL] for any privacy request.
6. Cookies & analytics
We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. With your opt-in consent, we also load Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how Week18 is used and improve it — they run only after you accept the cookie banner, and you can withdraw or change your choice any time via Cookie preferences in the footer. Clarity records clicks, scrolling and other interactions as session replays and heatmaps. We do not use advertising cookies; Clarity sets Microsoft cookies (such as MUID) that Microsoft also uses across its own services — see Microsoft's privacy statement. Stripe may set its own cookies for fraud prevention during checkout.
7. Retention
Active-account data is retained while your account is active. Payment records are retained as required by tax law (typically 7 years).
8. Changes
Material changes will be emailed to registered users; the effective date above updates with each revision.
